Find answers to common questions about the WALGA Local Government Convention, from registration and session locations to event

logistics and accessibility. We’ve gathered everything you need to know in one place to help you plan your experience and make the most of your time at the Convention.

Where do I register/check in?

The LGC26 registration desk is located on Level 3, adjacent to Bellevue Ballroom 1.

Self-service digital kiosks will be available for check-in, where you can also update any registration details if needed. Your lanyard will be printed on the spot. An assisted check-in desk will also be available for delegates who require support.

How do I check which functions or events I have registered for?

Your registered functions and ticketed events will be listed on the back of your lanyard upon check-in. Alternatively, registration desk staff will be happy to assist and can check your bookings in the system.

Which room do I go to for sessions?

Session locations can be found in the program via the event app.

  • Main sessions: Bellevue Ballroom 1
  • Breakout sessions: Various rooms throughout the venue
Where can I find the full program?

The full Convention program is available in the event app, where you can view session times, locations and any updates in real time.

Do I need to register for breakout sessions?

Breakout sessions do not require pre-booking unless otherwise specified. You can attend your preferred session by following the program in the app.

What time does the registration desk open each day?
  • Wednesday, 16 September: 11.00am
  • Thursday, 17 September: 7.00am
  • Friday, 18 September: 6.30am
Where is the Convention Exhibition?

The Convention Exhibition is located in Pavilion 1.

All delegate catering will be served in this space, and the Welcome Drinks will also be held here.

When is the Exhibition open?
  • Wednesday – Opens at 4.30pm
  • Thursday – 7.30am - 4.00pm
  • Friday – 7.00am - 3.00pm
Can I book a space for a meeting?

Yes. A dedicated meeting room is available for delegates to book in one-hour blocks via the event app.

  • Location: Level 2, Meeting Room 11 or 12
How do I vote at the AGM?

Registered voting delegates can vote via the event app. Navigate to the AGM session in the program, and once proceedings commence, voting options will be available.

I need help with the AGM voting app.

An AGM helpdesk will be open from 9:00am to 2:45pm on 17 September. Staff will assist with login, voting, and any changes to voting delegates.


If a voting delegate needs to be changed, CEO approval will be required.

Where can I park at the Convention venue?

Parking at PCEC is often very busy. Delegates are encouraged to use public transport, walk from nearby accommodation, or use taxis/rideshare services where possible.


If you have pre-booked parking, your ticket will guarantee entry and exit, even if the car park is showing as full.

How do I book parking at the Convention venue?

You can book parking for the Convention through the registration link after selecting your ticket, with limited spaces available.


I have special dietary requirements – what should I do?

If you provided dietary requirements during registration, your meals will be available at clearly marked dietary stations during each catering service.


All food stations will be labelled. If you are unable to locate your meal, please speak to a member of the PCEC catering team for assistance.

Venue Accessibility
  • The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) is a fully accessible venue, designed to provide an inclusive experience for all attendees.
  • All public areas across the venue are wheelchair accessible, with step-free access, ramps and wide corridors throughout.
  • Lifts are available to all levels of the venue, making it easy to move between session rooms, exhibition areas and event spaces.
  • Accessible unisex toilets are located throughout the venue, including within each exhibition pavilion. These are clearly signposted for convenience.
  • Guide dogs and registered assistance animals are welcome throughout the venue.
Parking Accessibility
  • Accessible (ACROD) parking bays are available in the City of Perth Convention Centre Car Park located directly beneath the venue.
  • There are designated drop-off and pick-up areas at the main entrance of the venue for ease of access.
What is the event app and how do I download it?

The event app is powered by EventsAir and provides access to the program, session information, AGM voting (for eligible delegates), and other important event updates.

Delegates will receive a download link along with their login details a few days prior to the event.

Can I attend functions if I haven’t purchased a ticket?

No. Catering has been arranged based on purchased tickets, and unfortunately, additional guests cannot be accommodated.

What is the dress code for the Convention and events?
  • Convention sessions, Welcome Drinks, and Icons Breakfast: Business casual
  • The Kingsman Soirée: Cocktail attire or business suit
Where is the Kingsman Soirée being held?

The evening will take place at the Kingsman Marquee, a waterfront venue located adjacent to Supreme Court Gardens, on the corner of Governors Avenue and Riverside Drive.

Where can I be dropped off for the Kingsman Soirée?

Dedicated drop-off and pick-up bays will be available on Governors Avenue, directly in front of the Kingsman Marquee entrance.

Where can I park for the Kingsman Soirée?

A CPP paid car park is conveniently located directly behind the Kingsman venue.

I need to cancel my booking. What are my options?

Refunds are available for cancellation requests made on or before 19 August 2026. After this date, no refunds will be issued as registrations will have closed.

If you are no longer able to attend, you may transfer your booking to another guest at any time by contacting events@walga.asn.au.
